Independent Funeral Celebrant
The loss of a loved one can bring great upheaval to you, your family and friends. Trying to come to terms with your loss may bring many different emotions: shock, fear, regret, love, confusion and occasionally anger. During such times organising a funeral can become overwhelming.
Trained by the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants, I will work with you to plan and create a unique service that suits your requirements. When leading the funeral service, I say, “My role is to respectfully capture and honour the life of your loved one and share it with you and your family & friends. During the ceremony, I endeavour to highlight their life, to aid reflection and help you through one of the most difficult days you’ll ever have to encounter’.
As an Independent Celebrant, the funeral Service will be created to honour your own beliefs of religion or spirituality, or indeed neither. There are many places in which a funeral service can take place: a crematorium, a cemetery chapel, a natural burial site, by the graveside, or a venue of your choice. In a pre-arranged visit, I will work with you and may offer suggestions if needed, ones which allow me to create a ceremony which will be a beautiful, reflective memory of your loved one, helping to lift some of the deep sadness and allowing you to grieve naturally and healthily.
As a medium, ash scattering and the interment of ashes is often practiced. When a loved one passes away and is cremated, their physical remains transform into ashes, representing the sacred essence of their being.
If you would like any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me. Alternatively, if you would like to use Me as a Funeral Celebrant, please pass my contact details on to the Funeral Directors.
