About Me

Hello, and welcome. My name is Lisa Bonito and I am a Spiritualist Medium and Independent Funeral Celebrant based in Derby, covering the surrounding area.

It is through my own personal circumstances and suffering from bereavement that I have been inspired to change my way of thinking, my life and what I can do to help others on their journey.

I was raised as a Catholic and accustomed to experience the reality of death, losing those we love and funerals to be centred around religion. In 2008 after the death of my Nonna, I walked into a Spiritualist Church for the very first time; scared, intrigued and a little sceptical. I welcomed learning more about Spiritualism as a way of life. I began to sit in meditation and development circles, dedicating many hours, all of which then enabled me to begin in developing my ‘gift’ as a medium.

After hard work, determination and many questions, I became involved in assisting with the running of the church, joining the committee and in the years following, I was elected as the President for 2 years running. I gained so much in this time. Through demonstrations of mediumship as part of the divine services, I was now able to help others to understand there is more to life than just the ‘physical’ part of our lives in this wonderful Universe we live in and also, as a representative of the Church, I was able to help, guide and support people through their own Spiritual experiences and, indeed, their loss.

Several years on, and now, after the loss of an uncle, my eyes were opened to a whole new world having listened to an Independent Funeral Celebrant bringing to life the ‘lifetime’ of our uncle. A time for family and friends to really reflect and find comfort in a Ceremony that would be so meaningful and dedicated. It was time for me to relinquish my duties within the Spiritualist Church and embark in a new direction as I trained to be a funeral celebrant.

This brings me to the present; a career I wouldn’t change for the world.

Please feel free to browse and if you’d like any further information on the services I offer, please reach out to me. I look forward to hearing from you."

Lisa did the most wonderful service for our amazing nana. Lisa was so caring and understanding, helped us through the difficult times and captured all the special moments. Lisa did my Grandad's funeral a few years ago, and my nana said what a lovely, kind lady she was. We wouldn't of asked anyone else to do my nanas service, she did us proud and my nana would of loved it. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, we will be forever grateful. You really are a special lady x

Amazing! I saw Lisa at a medium night a couple of days ago and got a message from my passed loved ones I was so interested about what else they had to say I went back to see her today for a 1 on 1 reading and wasn't disappointed. Lisa was so accurate with all details, dates and descriptions. I will definitely be going back to see her again and will be recommending her to anyone who is interested.

I can’t begin to thank Lisa enough for everything she has done for my aunty and my family. Lisa conducted the service with the upmost professionalism, despite the current covid-19 situation. Lisa came and spoke to the family with upmost respect, dignity and compassion and gave words of comfort during such tragic times for the family. Lisa you are a credit to yourself and everything you represent.

The essence of love

The essence of love begins when we unknowingly form an indestructible bond.

This is the day our parents hear of our awaited arrival.

Love begins to flourish, and it develops into something quite extraordinary but becomes so very natural too.

The day we are born, we feel the physical element of love. An overwhelming sense of affection and connection.

Love is growth, learning, compromise, understanding, forgiveness, and is unconditional.

Love can be described as happiness, wholeness, joyous, beauty, and it can be fulfilling.

Love teaches us how to live our lives.

When two people are destined to meet, they too form an indestructible bond, although different to that of our parents, two people amalgamate, and together, they may feel complete.

Those two people now become a solid foundation for the future, they become a unity.

They experience the same or similar love taught to them from their elders and ancestors....... the family values and traditions continue through the generations.

Should they be gifted with the next generation, that same indestructible bond is formed once more. And love goes on.........

Love doesn't end, stop or erase.

It's continuous throughout life; always has been, and always will be.......

Love is the essence of every part of our being, without love, we are nothing.

With love, we are everything.
